P. D. Hinduja Hospital has one of the best palliative care departments in Mumbai. The department plays a significant role in alleviating short-term symptoms and provides long-term support against chronic diseases to patients.

This Palliative Care Centre in Mumbai, provides emotional and physical support to chronically ill patients in the form of palliative care services and pain relief treatment. We also provide counselling to in-patients and OPD patients, including cancer patients.

We seek to improve the quality of life for both the patient and the family, caregiver by providing empathetic care, counselling  and strive to make them feel comfortable as much as possible.

Dr Smriti Khanna completed her Internal Medicine training from St Johns Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore, India, and went on to pursue a clinical fellowship in Hemato-oncology from the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute, Lucknow. 

She then went on to train in Palliative Care, receiving training from Kerala as well as Cardiff University (Wales, UK) and acquired her MSc in Palliative Medicine.

She is the lead clinician at the Living Will Clinic, the first of its kind in India.
