Dr Smriti Khanna completed her Internal Medicine training from St Johns Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore, India, and went on to pursue a clinical fellowship in Hemato-oncology from the prestigious Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute, Lucknow.
She then went on to train in Palliative Care, receiving training from Kerala as well as Cardiff University (Wales, UK) and acquired her MSc in Palliative Medicine.
She is the lead clinician at the Living Will Clinic, the first of its kind in India.
She was part of the 6 member team that started pediatric palliative care at the prestigious BJ Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai.

Dr Smriti Khanna has worked in many prestigious universities and hospitals, including Seth GS Medical College, St John’s Hospital, Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute, BJ Wadia Hospital for Children. She has also received her MRCP (UK) degree and has completed her Masters in Palliative Medicine from Cardiff University.
Dr. Smriti Khanna is a reviewer for the Indian Journal of Palliative Care.
She is a member of the Maharashtra Palliative Care network and the Indian Association of Palliative Care.
She has six years of teaching experience and has instructed residents and mentored fellows. She also has experience of working in critical care and nephrology.
She has been a teaching faculty at national and international Palliative Care training programmes and has worked with the Maharashtra Government to design training programmes for healthcare professionals.

Dr Smriti Khanna has had multiple oral and poster presentations at imminent national and international conferences. She has been part of the committee deciding guidelines for standards of pediatric palliative care and for end of life care in pediatric hemato-oncology. She has authored multiple publications, edited medical books and written book chapters on end of life care and pediatric palliative care.
