The department treats bone and joints related issues under two main sections

  • Orthopedics : Treats issues related to bone, joints, ligament, tendons etc.
  • Spine : Treats issues related to the backbone, i.e. spine. Spine, which is known as backbone in common language makes us stand straight, bend etc. The posture of our body is mainly maintained by spine. It is made up of several vertebrae in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar region

Dr. Sanjay Agarwala is the Head of Orthopaedics at the P. D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre. He is a gold medalist in MBBS as well as in MS (Orth) from the University of Bombay.
