Neurologists provide routine care and management to patients with nervous system disorders using non-surgical approaches, such as medications, electrical stimulation treatment and other therapies. They do not perform surgery.
Neurosurgeons on the other hand provide surgical treatment and rehabilitation of advanced complex disorders that impact any component of the nervous system, specialising in neurological and spine surgery.
The Neuro Sciences Centre also has a dedicated rehabilitation facility help patients with movement and function disorders. The centre has state-of-art of rehabilitation equipment including treadmill, cycle, ergo meter, multistation gym, neuro rehabilitation mat, staircase and ramp.
After completing his residency training at JNMC, Belgaum, Dr Darshan got into the prestigious Calgary Stroke Fellowship Program, Canada mentored by Dr. Andrew Demchuk, where he gained considerable experience in treating Stroke cases.
Dr. Neelu Desai is a full time Hospital Based Consultant in Paediatric Neurology at P. D. Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai. She is also an Honorary Consultant in Child Neurology at LTM Medical College and Sion Hospital, Mumbai.
