Whether you are navigating the early days of breastfeeding, preparing to return to work, or simply want to ensure your baby is feeding well, the Lactation Clinic provides clear guidance and compassionate care tailored for every mother’s needs.

A lactation clinic is a specialised service that supports parents with breastfeeding and infant feeding. At P. D. Hinduja Hospital, our lactation consultants work closely with mothers and families to understand their concerns, observe feeding patterns, and guide them with simple techniques that can make a meaningful difference.

Families may visit the clinic for a variety of reasons such as discomfort during feeding, difficulty with latching, questions about how well the baby is feeding, planning for pumping, or simply wanting reassurance that everything is on track.

During your visit, the consultant may:

• Observe how your baby feeds and latches
• Suggest positions that feel comfortable and natural
• Provide gentle solutions for common feeding concerns
• Guide you on how to use or choose a breast pump
• Conduct pre-feed and post-feed checks to understand how the baby is feeding
• Answer your questions in a calm, supportive and non-judgmental environment
