Dr. Murad E. Lala is a senior Surgical Oncologist with over 25 years of experience in the comprehensive management of cancer. He is the Consultant and Head of the Department of Surgical Oncology at P.D. Hinduja National Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai.
He completed his MCh in Surgical Oncology at the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, followed by fellowship training in Head & Neck Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has further refined his expertise at several of the world's leading cancer centres, including Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (USA), MD Anderson Cancer Center (USA), Institut Curie (France), and premier institutions across Europe, Japan, and South Korea.
Dr. Lala's practice encompasses the full spectrum of Surgical Oncology, with particular expertise in Head & Neck Oncology, thyroid surgery, and parathyroid surgery. He also has extensive experience in the surgical management of breast, thoracic, gastrointestinal, and gynecologic malignancies and is proficient in both open and robotic oncologic surgery.
A dedicated academician, postgraduate teacher, and examiner, Dr. Lala has authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and textbook chapters. He is actively involved in surgical education and is committed to advancing evidence-based cancer care through clinical research and mentorship.
