Dr. Alaric Aroojis is one of the leading authorities in the country on the treatment of clubfoot by conservative & surgical methods. He is one of the only two Asians to be nominated to the Medical Advisory Board of the Ponseti International Association (PIA) and serves on the Medical Advisory Boards of the Global Clubfoot Initiative (GCI). He was recently awarded the prestigious Silver Jubilee Oration of the Indian Orthopaedic Association on the topic “The India Clubfoot Programme: a novel public-private partnership approach to clubfoot eradication through a nation-wide treatment programme” in 2017.
He is one of the few Paediatric Orthopaedic surgeons in the country to perform complex pelvic osteotomies for congenital hip dislocation and to use minimally invasive techniques to correct difficult limb deformities in children. He is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary Spina Bifida & Cerebral Palsy Clinics and works in close association with Paediatric & Rehabilitation specialists.

Dr. Aroojis is an active member of the Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), Bombay Orthopaedic Society (BOS), Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India (POSI), Asia-Pacific Orthopaedic Association (APOA), SICOT, and the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy & Developmental Medicine (AACPDM). He has been an Executive Board Member, Hon. Secretary (2014 – 2020) & currently serves as the Vice-President of the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of India (POSI). He enjoys reading & traveling in his spare time. He balances his teaching commitments and academic research with a busy clinical practice in Paediatric Orthopaedics.
