Shruti Madgavkar is a practicing Consultant Psychologist at P.D.Hinduja Hospital. She has been practicing in the field of Clinical Psychology since the past 21 years and has experience in the field of mental health issues like Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Bipolar Disorder and Psychosomatic Diseases. She has handled cases of Obesity, Weight Loss/Management and Weight -Related emotional issues, De-addiction (Smoking/Tobacco Cessation) and Geriatric Counselling. She also has dealt with Childhood and Teenage Issues, Childhood Depression, Childhood Anxiety and Childhood Behavioral issues like ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and anger issues in kids and teenagers. She also has experience in Psychometric Evaluation (conducting IQ tests and Personality tests).
She has singlehandedly managed the daily mental health of all covid patients who were admitted at Hinduja Hospital's S1 building during the entire covid lockdown from April 2020 by running a free mental health helpline for all covid patients. She has conducted more than 4450 free telephonic counselling sessions for all admitted covid patients.
She has successfully completed the IAPC's certificate course in managing psychosocial issues of patients with chronic illnesses in Palliative Care. She has completed a course on Handwriting Analysis. She has worked at a popular Weight loss clinic. She has done her internship at Thane Mental Hospital, JJ Hospital, KEM Hospital and Masina Hospital.
