Both the above appointments were held during the period March 1986 to September 1986.
October 1, 1986, to January 31, 1988 - Worked as a “Trainee” in Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery at Epworth Hospital in Melbourne. During this training period, I worked under the guidance of Dr. Graeme Sloman, Director of Cardiology and Mr. Brian Buxton, Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery. I gained experience in coronary artery surgery (mainly internal mammary artery grafts) and pacemaker insertions.
February 1, 1988, to January 30, 1989 - Worked as a Cardiothoracic Surgical Registrar at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. During this training period, I worked under the guidance of Mr. George Westlake and Mr. James Tatoulis, Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery Unit. I gained experience in Coronary Artery Surgery and in Surgical Procedures for Cardiac Dysrhythmia.
February 1, 1989, to January 4, 1990 - Worked as a Cardiothoracic Surgical Registrar at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne. During this training period, I worked under the guidance of Mr. Anthony Wilson, Director - OHSU and Mr. Brian Buxton, Chief Cardiac Surgeon - Austin Hospital Unit. I gained experience in Coronary Artery Surgery, Valve Surgery and Pacemaker insertions.
January 8, 1990, to February 1, 1991. Worked as a Cardiothoracic Surgical Registrar at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane. During this training period, I worked with Dr. Mark O’Brien mainly in the field of Aortic Allograft Surgery. I also did a term with Dr. Peter Pohlner, mainly in Congenital Heart Surgery. I also did two terms with Dr. David McGriffin principally involving Arrhythmia Surgery, Cardiac Transplants and Mitral Valve Repairs.
Worked as Consultant in Cardiovascular Surgery at P. D. Hinduja National Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Mumbai from March 1991 to March 1996 and as Head of Department, Cardiac Surgery, Hinduja Hospital from April 1996 to September 2000.
From September 2000 onwards worked and continue to work as Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgeon in multiple large hospitals including the prestigious Lilavati Hospital, P. D. Hinduja Hospital, Mahim, P. D. Hinduja Hospital, Khar, Breach Candy Hospital and Fortis Hospital.
