Dr. Date is a well-respected and experienced plastic surgeon, from Mumbai, India. He is one of the few experts in this field with double Indian board certification in plastic and general surgery, along with memberships to the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (UK). It is the blend of European training and Indian aesthetics that helps Dr. Date bring a unique, global perspective and approach to the practice of aesthetic and plastic surgery.
He completed his plastic surgery training at the Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai, India, which is one of the top plastic surgery programs in the country. All his prior medical training, as well as general surgical training, is from top government medical colleges and hospitals. Dr. Date has done his fellowships in various countries with leading plastic surgery institutes, honing his skills in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Date was one of the few Indian plastic surgeons to be selected for the highly sought Microsurgery and Lymphatic surgery fellowship at China Medical University Hospital in Taiwan. He has also trained briefly with Dr. Corrine Becker who is a world-renowned expert in lymphatic surgery. He was an invited international scholar for Breast Cancer Reconstruction training at St. Andrew’s Centre In the UK. He has a special interest in facial cleft surgery and is a Smile Train (USA) fellowship awardee. Furthermore, he visited Dr. Francoise Firmin in Paris, France to learn personalised techniques of ear reconstruction. For cosmetic surgery, he has undergone intensive one on one training at Koln, Germany as well as Genk, Belgium, at centres which are renowned in Europe and the world for their cosmetic surgery techniques and outcomes.

Dr. Date's surgical interests include cosmetic facial and reconstructive surgery, body contouring, post-weight loss procedures, and breast enhancement. His expertise includes performing calf, buttock, and pectoral implants and all types of facial implants, along with abdominal etching and the making of patient-specific, custom-made implants for various asymmetries and deformities. He has special interest in cosmetic nose surgery including redo procedures.
Plastic surgery is a problem-solving tool that can be used for social good. Dr. Date uses his unique skill sets to give back to society in any way he can. Every month, he visits remote villages in rural India to do pro bono reconstructive surgery work for the impoverished segment of the society.
