After completing his residency training at KEM Hospital, Mumbai, in 1984, he worked as a Locum consultant at Nanavati in 1987 at the Hospital, Mumbai, where he gained considerable experience in USG and X-rays. He had mentored fellows for almost 16 years.
He worked at P.D. Hinduja Hospital Mahim till 2004 as a Full Time Consultant in the Department of Imaging.
Dr. Sukthankar holds a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology/ USG/CT from the University of California at San Diego in the year 1986-87.
He is a member of the Indian Radiology and Imaging Association.
