Dr. Jai Mullerpattan

After completing his MBBS training from Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital, Mumbai, Dr. Mullerpattan did his post-graduation in Respiratory Medicine from P. D. Hinduja National Hospital and MRC where he has received training in his speciality including procedures such as bronchoscopy. He has also worked for 1 year in the Critical Care Department (ICU) of Hinduja Hospital where he was exposed to various aspects of critical care including handling of emergencies and ventilators. Post his DNB in Respiratory Medicine in 2011, he has worked in the department of Respiratory Medicine. He has attended an ERS school course in Endobronchial Ultrasound in January 2014. He was appointed full time consultant in April 2019.

Honours & Awards

Apart from involvement in the care of patients on an outpatient as well as inpatient basis, and dealing with procedures and emergencies, Dr Mullerpattan is involved in the training of students who are enrolled for the DNB in Respiratory diseases. He also gives lectures for MSc Nursing students.

He has been the Organising Secretary for the "National Update in Respiratory Medicine" through the years 2011-2014. He has also been the organising secretary for the Smoking Cessation Workshop and the Respiratory Review organised by the department in 2015.

Dr. Mullerpattan has been actively involved in the research carried out in the department of Respiratory medicine. He has a number of publications to his credit in national and international journals. He also has a couple of posters to his credit which were presented at the American Thoracic Society (ATS) international conference.
